This is my favourite movie of all time. To be honest, this movie is neither deep or difficult to interpret. But still, it touched, and still touch me deeply.
The story is quite simple: General Ludlow (Anthony Hopkins) was a general in the American army until he finally had enough of war. He chooses to settle down in the rocky north of USA. He settles down along with his three sons. His wife leaves him and moves to a warmer part of the country. In this beautiful scenery, a lot of things happen, both tragic events and wonderful things. We experience the love that eventually tears the family apart, and this happening is so to speak the red line throughout the movie.
I don't wanna spoil your first impression of this movie, so I think this is all I can say about the story.
All of the main characters are very well played, and I don't think they could have been done any better at all. Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins and Aidan Quinn makes the essence of this fine bred love drama that astonoshes me again and again. If there's one love drama movie you'd ought to see in your life-time, Legends of the Fall is certainly one of the best candidates!

Donnie Darko (2001)
Donnie Darko is the embodyment of a good movie. The reason for this movie's tremendous achievement is that it is genuinly good on every area. But still, the best part: it's full of surprises. And if there's one thing we aren't too spoiled on today, it's re-newing movies! Unfortunately for both the creators of this film, and we who really appretiate good movies and does not have Lord of the Rings as our favourite movie, some of the happenings in the film had similarities with the tragic September 11th event in New York. Due to this, the film was as good as banned, and just a few people saw it. Luckily, it got a lot more attention in the following years.
In this movie, we meet the main character Donnie Darko in his daily life in a average, sleepy american suburban town. Donnie has a troubled mind, and has a imaginary "friend", a man in a funny rabbit suit. On several occations, this rabbit saves Donnie's life. These happenings make Donnie question certain aspects of our existence.
We follow Donnie in his pursuit of finding the meaning of it all, and his attempt to save his closest ones.
If he succeed, you have to find out yourself, 'cause this is a movie you gotta see!
